Westport RFC were delighted to welcome the visiting U18 side from North Carolina. It was a pleasure to host the team, who brought great energy and sportsmanship to the fixture. The 30-minute match, played in two 15-minute halves, began at a high tempo with Westport settling quickly into their stride. Leah McNamara opened the scoring in the first half with a try under the posts, converted by Ruth Conway.

The second half continued in the same vein. Ruth Conway struck first after the restart, touching down for Westport’s second try and converting her own score. Leah McNamara followed with another well-taken try beneath the posts, and Ruth added the extras to complete a strong all-round performance.

Final Score: Westport 21 – 0 North Carolina Rugby All Stars
